Product Care Guide

Read Our Product Information Carefully

When receiving your cake, be sure to carry the box from the bottom only. Never carry the box from the top or sides as this will damage your cake. Make sure your cake is level at all times during transport, refrigeration, and display.

Place your cake in an air-conditioned vehicle. The safest place for your cake is in the foot well of the passenger side as this surface is flat and will avoid any movement.

Once home or at the event location, please store your cake in the box straight away in the refrigerator and store it away from strong-smelling foods.

Keep away from direct sunlight and heat when on display.

Take your cake out 1-2 hours before serving and serve at room temperature.

Be sure your cake and cake stand if applicable, is sturdy and on a sturdy surface. Remove all cake decorations before cutting. Store leftover cake in the refrigerator in an airtight container or wrap and freeze for longer storage.

Cakes, Cheesecakes, Bread Pudding

Cakes, cheesecake treats, and bread pudding are stored in the refrigerator for freshness. For best taste and texture allow coming to room temperature before serving. Cake and Bread Pudding covered with plastic/saran wrap and foil, then placed in a freezer bag with store well in freezer for months.

Cakes can last up to five (5) days at room temperature. Cakes and Bread Pudding may be kept refrigerated for up to one (1) week upon delivery, or wrapped tightly, stored in freezer bags, and frozen for up to one (1) year.

Pound Cakes

It is recommended to store pound cakes at room temperature. You can make a pound cake stay good for longer if you keep it in the fridge, but this is going to make the cake worse. The texture and the flavor of the cake will be altered by being placed in the refrigerator. The pound cake will last in the refrigerator for around seven (7) days. On average, the pound cake will last between four (4) and five (5) days when stored properly at room temperature.

Pound cakes may be stored in the freezer by wrapping securely in plastic and placed into a freezer bag. You’ll want to write the date on the cake so that you’ll know when you placed it in the freezer. The cake should stay good for approximately four (4) to six (6) months. After this time, the cake will start to degrade in quality.

Chocolate Covered Fruit and Treats

Chocolate-covered strawberries and apples are good for about two (2) days when they are stored properly in an air-tight container or plastic zipper bag in the fridge at or below 40 degrees Fahrenheit but it is recommended to eat them within the first few days to enjoy their optimum quality and taste. Moreover, always store your chocolate-covered treats away from strong-smelling foods.

You can freeze chocolate-covered strawberries and they can last for about three (3) months in the freezer. The downside, it will negatively impact the texture and flavor of chocolate-covered strawberries. The frozen chocolate-covered strawberries when thawed will become mushy and too soft.

Banana Pudding

Banana pudding is best enjoyed within the first 24-48 hours that it is made. Avoid leaving it at room temperature for no more than two (2) hours. If you plan on enjoying it later, refrigerate the banana pudding in a sealed airtight container. When properly stored, you can refrigerate it for up to three (3) to four (4) days. Due to the delicate ingredients used in my banana pudding recipe, I do not recommend freezing banana pudding.

Banana Pudding Cake

Keep this cake stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three (3) to four (4) days. Just note, that there will be changes in the texture and appearance due to the bananas, but the cake will still be just as delicious. When you are ready to serve the cake allow the cake to come to room temperature for about 15-30 minutes before serving.
